FDM Build Untwined...

A few photos of an unwound FDM build... 

Here the fabrication of a, quite tall and vertical, build collapsed when only halfway completed, resulting in the remains of the roughly 40 hour process extruding its fine stands of ABS plastic and accompanying supports into 'thin' air. The photographed concoction was all that greeted us on its due day... 

This 'digial-shrubbery' is, though, quite appealing in its own right, and reminds me a bit of an earlier design of ours in which such 'unraveled' strands became a part of a completed design...
