Bahrain has managed, on its inaugural attempt, to scoop the Golden Lion at the Venice Architectural Biennale. The exhibit is titled 'Reclaim' and shows a number of modest fisherman's huts, which have been transported piecemeal from Bahrain to Venice, where they've been reassembled into their original state.

The video above shows a short interview with one of the exhibits curators.

The pavilion was commissioned by Bahrain’s Minister of Culture and Information, Her Excellency Sheikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa.

The work was curated by architects and academics Moura Al-Sayeh and Dr Fuad Al-Ansari.
